Eff. 01Sep 2017 Tourism Tax will be implemented on all foreign guests
staying at hotels
and registered tourist accommodation premises in Malaysia
at the rate of RM10.00 per room per night.
The tax is not applicable to
"Homestays" and "Kampong stays" registered with MoTAC.
Local tourists and
permanent residents are exempted.
